Magenta Elevate™ System

The Elevate™ percutaneous Left Ventricular Assist Device (pLVAD) is a self-expanding percutaneous catheter-mounted arterial pump that is intended to provide temporary mechanical circulatory support for the left ventricle (LV) during high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions (HR-PCI) and in patients hospitalized with cardiogenic shock (CS).

In the course of HR-PCI and CS, the LV may require support in pumping oxygenated blood from the ventricle into the aorta, so that adequate cardiac output, arterial blood pressure and coronary and end-organ perfusion could be maintained for up to several days.

Placed across the aortic valve through multiple off-the-shelf 10 Fr femoral sheaths, the Elevate™ pump draws blood from the LV and expels it into the aorta. The pump unloads the LV by reducing both its pressure and volume, thus decreasing wall stress and overall myocardial oxygen consumption.

The unique combination of 10 Fr percutaneous femoral access, and mean flows of >5 liters/minute (the full cardiac output of a grown adult), positions the Elevate™ System as a new standard in temporary mechanical circulatory support.

Elevate™ has been successfully evaluated in a First-in-Human study of HR-PCI patients. An expansion of the clinical program is pending.

Elevate™ is not yet commercially available in any jurisdiction.
